Holiday Inn & Suites Makati highlights recipes prepared by Culinary Ambassador Sam Leong for the Chinese New Year celebration at its flagship restaurant Flavors. From February 1 to 29, 2016, guests of Flavors Restaurant may enjoy signature Chinese dishes such as Wok-Fried Chicken with Black Pepper Sauce, Crispy Pork Belly Marinated with Fermented Bean Curd, Crispy Fish in Homemade Superior Light Sauce, Sweet and Sour Pork Belly with Green Apples, and Singapore Style Black Pepper Crab on its daily buffet menu cycle.
Aside from these specialty dishes, regulars at Flavors Restaurant may continue to enjoy their own favorites from the restaurant’s grill, pasta, Asian noodles, salad, sushi / sashimi, as well as the favorites – the kids and dessert stations.
Starting February 5, Holiday Inn & Suites Makati will be part of the annual Chinese Food Festival spearheaded by the Makati City Cultural and Tourism office, to be held at the Glorietta activity center.
Finally on February 8, Flavors Restaurant will join the Chinese New Year celebration around the world with a Lion and Dragon Dance starting at 10am. Guests are invited witness the eye-dotting ceremony at the hotel ground floor lobby, which marks the start of the Chinese New Year festivities. Restaurant guests will then be ushered to the center of the restaurant so they can participate in the traditional Prosperity Toss, where several Yu Sheng Salad platters will be prepared and be made available to all guests.
