AWell acted by almost everyone in the cast, Heneral Luna seems like a good cinematic portrayal of one of our greatest Generals and the times he in which he lived. I must say, I was in awe of the flashback sequence during the 2nd half of the film, which was seamless and of top notch quality (pang-Hollywood)! Kudos to the Director and his Director of Photography on that scene; really shows the Pinoys have the talent to be with the best of the cinematic world. [On the minor nega side, it's rather too graphic on one or two occasions which didn't seem necessary; and the realities of budget were quite evident during the "epic" digmaan (war) scenes.] Overall, I'm glad Philippine cinema producers still do these types of projects. Keep it up! And yes, creative license can be done for cinematic value, but not too much. And please... Less of the excessive sequels, please... No more Shake Rattle 15 or Mano Po 8 or My Little Bossing 3.
