Aurora deserves an award for sound. It’s very Hollywood, very dramatic and suspenseful, and sets the movie on the right note from the get go. Cinematography isn’t bad either. The ever gorgeous (even with little to no make up) Anne Curtis’ shots were just as haunting yet beautiful as the landscape. She also carried the movie quite well. I think where this movie had the most problems is in the story. It got kind of muddled and convoluted somewhere in the middle towards the end. Also, spoiler, there’s hardly any horror scenes; the movie having to rely mostly on cinematography and sound to establish that this is, in fact, a scary movie. 3⭐️ out of 5.

    Now Showing
    AURORA [PG]
    Metro Manila Film Festival

For me, i like the intention of the film to bring something new on the table of MMFF.

I’m giving it 2-stars for the real great sound, scoring and visuals —which is unsurprising for a Yam Laranas film. Apart from those mentioned, nothing else is commendable about the film Aurora. There could’ve been a better treatment to the plot on how it was told. Nakakahinayang.

All I can say is magaling ang promoter ng movie.
I am a fan of Ann pero grabe, muntik na mag out of body ang kaluluwa ko sa sobrang pagka-antok. Not sure if horror is the right category for this film.

    Nice sound and cinematography.
But since its a horror movie and a yam laranas one, kinda expected a plot twist at the end.
    And there was none.

Another Filipino film that tried special effects but failed so much. They’ve seem to forget great acting, great characterization, and great storyline just to produce a visually appealing film. The sound is great though.

This is something new. Highly recommemded.

Love the Female lead Amazing Visual Effects
