As a Filipino remake of Korean “My Sassy Girl”, the movie is actually better than how the poster looks. Toni is very charming, both Pepe and Toni act so well and make the movie pretty touching in the second half.
Basically the flow is the same as the Korean version, didn’t have much localised changes; but some dialogues in same scene are better written in PH version, for example, the amusement park scenes.
Heavy use of filter or post-production editing, makes the neighbourhood looks dreamy.
I love Ethan David’s song “I Believe”, which is used in the later half of the movie. The duet version sung by Pepe and Toni is used for end credit, it’s kind of a chef’s kiss, giving an everlasting feeling.
By the way I never liked the female protagonist, she’s a sad but selfish character to me. All the touching moments are brought by the male protagonist.
