Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila marks the beginning of the Christmas season with the lighting a 45-foot Christmas tree with the theme, ‘’The Enchanted Journey.’’ Sofitel invites you to experience a voyage through the yuletide offerings starting from the Le Marché de Noël, a Christmas market featuring traditional Christmas toys, memorable and rich selection of festive culinary treats. Discover a wonderland of seasonal adornments featuring a vintage propeller plane, hot air balloons, a 45-foot Christmas tree and a 25 foot Pierre, the French snowman visiting with his friends.
The highlight of the evening was the handing over of a P500,000 check to the Virlanie Foundation raised from the recently concluded Sofitel Wizard Run, a family run. The angelic voices of the Virlanie Children’s Choir serenaded the guests with lovely renditions of traditional Christmas songs.
Since 2014, Fun Runs have been organized by the hotel to raise money for the benefit of the children of Virlanie Foundation, a non-government organization that helps the street children of Manila. Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila’s Ambassadors have been active in participating in the foundation’s activities such as “Teach to Reach” and “Adopt a Child” programs.
