Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them (2016)

    PG Adventure, Fantasy
    Cast
Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler
    Director
    David Yates

Well paced, great cast chemistry, good beginning for a 5 picture movie franchise from JK Rowling as a prequel to the Harry Potter series. Captain America: Civil War (2016)

    PG Action, Adventure, Sci-fi

As the 3rd Phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe begins with Captain America Civil War, it's a great big bang of a beginning with this movie. Great pace, action, drama and sprinkles of humor.

    Heneral Luna (2015)

    R-13 Biography, History, War
    Cast
John Arcilla, Arron Villaflor, Mon Confiado
    Director
    Jerrold Tarog

Well acted by almost everyone in the cast, Heneral Luna seems like a good cinematic portrayal of one of our greatest Generals and the times he in which he lived. I must say, I was in awe of the flashback sequence during the 2nd half of the film, which was seamless and of top notch quality (pang-Hollywood)! Kudos to the Director and his Director of Photography on that scene; really shows the Pinoys have the talent to be with the best of the cinematic world. [On the minor nega side, it's rather too graphic on one or two occasions which didn't seem necessary; and the realities of budget were qu... Read more
