    Birds of Prey (2020)

    R-16 Action, Adventure, Crime
    Cast
Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead
    Director
    Cathy Yan

It’s a female version of the the Suicide Squad and it’s so much jucier and entertaining. I love Margot Robbie! She’s good in different movies - Mary Queen of Scots to I Tonya to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood to Bombshell to this wacky outing - she can do them all.

    Little Women (2020)

    PG Drama
    Cast
Meryl Streep, Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson
    Director
    Greta Gerwig

This latest adaptation stands well with the previous ones owing it to Saoirse Ronan’s and Florence Pugh’s acting. Even Emma, Timothee, Laura and of course Meryl bring their A-game in their supporting roles. Lastly, the pacing of the story is definitely faster than the previous iterations of this book plus Greta Gerwig inserted social commentaries about the double standards and struggle of women to prove themselves worthy and capable of being independent members of the society.

The movie will give you different feels - joy, sadness, laugh out loud, suspense and seriousness. It’s a coming-of-age type of story in a peculiar setting. I love Taika and SacJo.

    Doctor Sleep (2019)

    R-13 Horror
    Cast
Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson, Kyliegh Curran
    Director
    Mike Flanagan

Giving it 5 out 5 stars.

If you loved The Haunting of Hill House and The Shining then you will definitely enjoy this movie. It has better character development than The Shining and it captures the feels (shots and sounds) of the original. It doesn’t rely on cheap scares; this is old school eerie and suspense. The plot is a fitting conclusion to the story that started in the Overlook hotel. Plus Ewan McGregor and Rebecca Fergusson did justice to their eccentric roles.

    Unforgettable (2019)

    G Drama
    Cast
    Sarah Geronimo
    Director
    Jun Robles Lana, Perci Intalan

Sarah did great in this movie. They did a good job promoting the movie, the suprise cameos weren’t bad and they didn’t overplay their parts. The story in its core is enough to make anyone feel warm and fuzzy inside. It’s about family and having faith in doing kindness and they did justice to all the themes from start to finish.

    Joker (2019)

    R-16 Action, Adventure, Crime
    Cast
    Joaquin Phoenix
    Director
    Todd Phillips

Don’t watch this if you want to be entertained. It’s not a superhero movie. It’s the darkest treatment of this character and it’s a comedy. Life is a comedy. You want me to tell you what’s funny?

    Nah, you won’t get it.

    Ad Astra (2019)

    PG Sci-fi, Thriller
    Cast
Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland
    Director
    James Gray

This is not a movie for everyone but if you sit through it and invest on it you will get such a good emotional payback at the end. It caught me off guard at the final scene and dialogues. This movie kind of reminded me of Interstellar and Brad Pitt did justice to his character.

Better see this on 4D to immerse yourself deeply. The action scenes are emphasized even more through 4d.

If you loved the movies Gravity, Arrival and Interstellar then you’ll definitely love this.
