It’s a Hallmark kind of movie. Viggo was good and engaging, but Mahershala looked like he just learned acting like he just learned how to play the piano. Too careful. I know that he was playing someone uptight but it was almost like he was playing Judi Dench playing the Queen.

Shyamalan forgot that we don’t really follow his movies like we do with the Avengers. My viewing could have been helped by watching Unbreakable and Split, but was it going to be worth it anyway. No. Glass is too ambitious but like the facility that was supposed to hold these supermen, it lacked fortitude and weight. Who the f assigns one security guard to three supposedly dangerous people? Who the f writes that kind of s for such an ambitious premise? Shyamalan. As always.

This is a mess. It's a well-intentioned mess, but a mess nonetheless. Tirso Cruz is a great actor. I was most interested in his story. He should have been the lead here. The two old guys serve as a backdrop to the children's stories. This is not about two old gay guys (well the other one seemed to have just used the other) dealing with ageing. This is about adult children being like children.

wellllllllll. It is Mary Poppins, but I don't know how something like this exists in these times. It still moves somehow like the original, and even if I do not recall anymore how the first movie was, I was stuck with the idea of having Julie Andrews as a nanny, and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious for a week. I don't know if Emily Blunt will have the same effect. Probably not.

I would have wanted a movie that matched the greatness of Queen and Freddie Mercury, but I guess that’s asking for too much when you know that the remaining members are producers. This is like an afternoon movie. Entertaining enough but not unforgettable. The best part is the Live Aid performance. It was like that kind of dessert you want after a so so meal.
