See this if you want to tick off torture practices during Martial Law. Don't look for insight. It's pornography

    Director
    Paul Feig

I enjoyed this. Wicked funny story with great acting from the two ladies. If only Henry Golding were a bit more of an actor, this would have been great. But I'll take it as it is. Fun and evil.

    Fun and Enjoyable

    A Star Is Born (2018)

    Drama, Musical, Romance
    Cast
    Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper
    Director
    Bradley Cooper
    MTRCB
    R-13

This was boring. Nothing to feel for both characters because the the conflict was weakened by bad editing. You don't know whether to feel good or bad for Gaga in her final shot. This was supposed to feel very terrible and sad and tragic and tiring. What we got was an Instagram emo, moody take on what was supposed to be ironic--a star is born as her big love spirals towards death. This was pretty lame.

    Cast
    Paulo Avelino
    Director

It wanted to say so many important things, but it was like a meandering essay that never got to a clear point. Paulo Avelino was pretty lame.

    Exes Baggage (2018)

    Comedy, Romance
    Cast
    Angelica Panganiban, Carlo Aquino
    Director
    Dan Villegas
    MTRCB
    PG

I don't know what people are seeing in this movie, but it bored the hell out of me. The flash forwards only work to make the movie a bit more engaging because, otherwise, there was not much to be interested in. A very unsatisfying ending considering there was not much for the characters to work on in themselves.

    Crime, Drama, Mystery
    Cast
    Charlie Hunnam, Rami Malek
    Director
    Michael Noer
    MTRCB
    R-16

Not as bad as I heard it was, but a real life story could be better if the director had avoided typical moviemaking pitfalls like the bad guys suddenly showing up behind them.
