WATCH: ‘Star Wars: Visions’ Special Look Teases Anime Adaptation of the Famous Franchise

It's an anthology of anime shorts that will also incorporate Japanese culture into the Star Wars universe!

One of the biggest media franchises in pop culture history, Star Wars is finally being adapted into anime!

The upcoming series Star Wars: Visions, will showcase a collection of short anime films from a lineup of different studios, including Kamikaze Douga, Geno Studio, Studio Colorido, Trigger, Kinema Citrus, Science Saru, and Production IG. Check out the Special Look video for the show below:

Besides having that distinct anime art style, these shorts will also bear a unique Japanese sensibility, drawing inspiration from Japanese mythology, Akira Kurosawa films, and more. Each short will also showcase the different animation styles and perspectives of the anime studios that worked on them.
