After the release of TRESE last week, the Philippines will once again be depicted in anime form in the upcoming film, Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway.
From the popular anime and toy franchise, this new Gundam film will feature Davao City where viewers can catch glimpses of familiar sceneries and brands, including Jollibee! Check out the trailer below:

Hathaway kicks off a new film trilogy in the franchise that’s based on the novel Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash by Yoshiyuki Tomino. Twelve years after the Second Neo Zeon War, the Earth Federation government has become more corrupt than ever, pollution is getting worse, and the government is implementing an inhuman policy where civilians are exiled into outer space by force. To resist this corrupt leadership, Hathaway Noa leads an insurgency through an organization called Mafty.
Directed by Shukou Murase, Mobile Suit Gundam is set to be released on Netflix this July 1. For more information, check out the film’s official page on the streaming platform.
