Netflix has just announced that they will be partnering up with President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama in producing films and series with the streaming giant.
Producing under Higher Ground Productions, the Obamas will be working on different kinds of content – including scripted and unscripted series, docu-series, documentaries, and feature films which are to be streamed in over 190 countries.

According to President Obama, that through their collaboration with Netflix, they will be able share their experiences, as well as the stories of the people they encounter. "We hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world," he added.
Michelle Obama also adds that they have always believed that storytelling has the power to inspire people, and that Netflix is the fitting platform for them to do so. "Barack and I have always believed in the power of storytelling to inspire us, to make us think differently about the world around us, and to help us open our minds and hearts to others."
