After streaming the latest season of The Crown, here’s a new series you need to check out! From Shondaland and Creator Chris Van Dusen comes Bridgerton, Netflix’s new period drama set in Regency London.
It follows Daphne Bridgerton, the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family, who aims to find true love in the competitive marriage market. As her older brother rules out her potential suitors, a high society scandal sheet from the mysterious Lady Whistledown surfaces.
Netflix released a short clip from the show, where the Bridgerton family debates the identity of Lady Whistledown over dinner. Check it out below:
Netflix describes the show as “a romantic, scandalous, and quick-witted series that celebrates the timelessness of enduring friendships, families finding their way, and the search for a love that conquers all.”
Based on Julia Quinn’s bestselling novels, Bridgerton‘s first season will be comprised of eight episodes. It stars Phoebe Dynevor, RegĆ©-Jean Page, Julie Andrews, and more.
It will premiere on Netflix this Christmas Day, December 25.
