The Korean sci-fi blockbuster Space Sweepers, which stars Song Joong Ki and Kim Tae Ri, will be premiering globally on Netflix! The thriller film comes from the director of A Werewolf Boy and Phantom Detective, and stars Song Joong Ki, Kim Tae Ri, Jin Sun Kyu, and Yoo Hai Jin.
Space Sweepers is a film set in 2092, when the Earth has become a planet that will soon be inhabitable. It centers on the humans of Spaceship Victor, one of the many that live off of salvaging space debris. Manning the spaceship are the pilot Tae Ho; an ex-space pirate Captain Jang; an ex-con spaceship engineer Tiger Park; and a military robot Bubs.
The team eventually finds a 7-year-old girl inside a crashed space shuttle, and they put her up for ransom after realizing that she’s the robot that the UTS Space Guards have been looking for.
