From the director that gave us well-loved K-dramas like Hotel del Luna and While Your Were Sleeping comes Start–Up, a drama about young people pursuing their careers in start-up companies. The K-drama, which stars Bae Suzy and Nam Joo Hyuk, arrives on Netflix this October.
The streaming site recently dropped the first teaser to the drama, hinting the lives of the four main characters. Check it out below:
In Start-Up, Bae Suzy plays the role of Seo Dal Mi, a passionate and bright person who dreams of becoming Korea’s Steve Jobs. Nam Joo Hyuk, on the other hand, plays Nam Do San, founder of Samsan Tech, who used to be the pride of the family for being a “math genius”. With his business going downhill for two years now, he becomes the family’s shame.
Joining the two leads are Kim Seon Ho’s Han Ji Pyeong, an investment manager at a venture capital company, and Woo In Jae’s Kang Han Na, a chaebol CEO struggling to create success on her own.
The drama comes from director Oh Choong Hwan (Hotel del Luna, While You Were Sleeping, Doctors) and scriptwriter Park Hye Ryun (Dream High, Pinocchio, While You Were Sleeping).
Start-Up launches exclusively on Netflix this October. Check out Netflix’s Facebook and Twitter pages for updates.
