Fans of Netflix’s The Witcher will surely be delighted to hear that another spin-off has been confirmed. Titled The Witcher: Blood Origin, this six-part live-action series will follow the story of the first Witcher.
The Witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Declan de Barra will act as executive producers. De Barra, known for working on scripts for TV shows such as The Originals and Iron Fist, will also helm this spin-off series.
Here’s the logline for the upcoming show:
“Set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher, Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time – the origin of the very first Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal ‘conjunction of the spheres,’ when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.”
1200 years before Geralt of Rivia, the worlds of monsters, men and elves merged into one, and the first Witcher came to be.
