Calling all lovers of detective stories! Netflix has just dropped the first-look images on Enola Holmes, which puts the spotlight on Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister! The film launches on the streaming site this September.
The film, set in 1884 England, centers on Enola Holmes who wakes up on her 16th birthday to learn that her mother disappeared with not clue as to where she’s gone. Left under the care of Sherlock and Mycroft, she is then sent to a school for “proper young ladies”.
Not wanting to follow her brothers’ wishes, she escapes to London to search for her mother, only to get involved in a mystery surrounding a young Lord. She eventually becomes a super-sleuth who outwits her brother, unraveling a conspiracy that could change history.
The book is based on Nancy Springer’s book series, and is brought to life by director Harry Bradbeer. It stars Millie Bobby Brown as the titular character, Henry Cavill as Sherlock, and Sam Claflin as Mycroft. Joining them are Helena Bonham Carter, Louis Partridge, and more.
Enola Holmes premieres on Netflix this September.
