Based on the book by James R. Hansen, this riveting story behind the first manned mission to the moon focuses on Neil Armstrong and the decade leading to the historic Apollo 11 flight. With a visceral and intimate account told from Armstrong’s perspective, the film explores triumphs and costs that Armstrong encounters with his family, colleagues, as well as the nation.

Following his father’s death, a young ramen chef chances upon his late Singaporean mother’s suitcase of memorabilia. Hoping to piece together the story of his life, as well as that of his parents, he leaves his hometown in Japan to embark on a journey to Singapore.
