Netflix's The Witcher is based on the books by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. Its medieval fantasy world and protagonist, Geralt of Rivia, was then made more famous as it was adapted into a number of video games. The TV series from the streaming giant is set for this coming December 20.

The series follows Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter who travels from town to town searching for people who are willing to pay for his services. He soon meets a sorceress named Yennefer and a princess named Cirilla, a stroke of destiny that would launch the three into a perilous journey together.

Created for television by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the series also stars Jodhi May, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Adam Levy, Mimi Ndiweni, Emma Appleton alongside Chalotra, Allan, and Cavill.

In case you missed it, you can also catch The Witcher, Henry Cavill and the showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich on December 12, 2019, 5pm onwards at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay Activity Center in a fan event! Click here for more details about the event.
