A well-known curse is coming to Netflix this June!
The popular Japanese horror franchise Ju-On, or The Grudge, will now be coming to our small screens through Netflix’s new 6-episode horror series Ju-On Origins.

“In the Netflix Original Series Ju-On: Origins, the story based on a truth more terrifying than fiction returns,” teases the trailer’s description. “Can the people haunted by this house escape from its curse? And what kind of grim incident occurred in this cursed house in the past?”
As it turns out, the Ju-On franchise was not a total work of fiction. It was inspired by “real events that occurred over four decades”. This is what Ju-On Origins will be telling, a truth that they say is even scarier than the films.
Sho Miyake is the director of the series. It stars Yoshiyoshi Arakawa, Yuina Kuroshima, Ririka, Koki Osamura, Seiko Iwaido, Kai Inowaki, Tei Ryushin, Yuya Matsuura, Kaho Tsuchimura, Tokio Emoto, Nobuko Sendo, and Kana Kurashina.
