The Japanese Netflix series Alice in Borderland is set to return for a second season, and to further excite fans, the streaming service has dropped new photos from the show. Check them out below:
The photos feature Arisu, Usagi, and more characters from season 1, returning to play more deadly games within the mysterious Borderland. One of the photos even teases that a young boy has also been dragged into this merciless world.
Based on the manga Imawa no Kuni no Alice, Alice in Borderland follows Arisu and his friends who are transported into a new world where people are forced to play games where the losers could die, and the winners are assured a few more days of survival. In the finale of season 1, Arisu gets one step closer to finding out the truth behind the Borderland and the intentions of the game masters that have brought them there.
The series stars Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya, Nijiro Murakami, Ayaka Miyoshi, Dori Sakurada, Aya Asahina, Yutaro Watanabe, Tsuyoshi Abe, Sho Aoyagi, and Riisa Naka. It is directed by Shinsuke Sato with a screenplay co-written by Sato with Yasuko Kuramitsu.
Alice in Borderland season 2 premieres on Netflix this December 22.
