Get Ready to Solve Hilariously Heinous Crimes with Angie Tribeca

Angie Tribeca is no ordinary cop show. What would you expect from the surreal minds of creators Nancy and Steve Carell?

Angie Tribeca is no ordinary cop show. What would you expect from the surreal minds of creators Nancy and Steve Carell?

Angie and her crew from the LAPD’s Really Heinous Crimes Unit (RHCU) investigate some of the grisliest crimes in bustling Los Angeles. But what sets them apart from other PDs is the hilarity and outright absurdity of their adventures and misadventures.

Without a doubt, what makes Angie (played by the awesome Rashida Jones from Parks and Recreation and The Social Network) stand out from the other cops is her propensity to get caught up in the most ridiculous and awkward situations.

To mark the return of Angie Tribeca this April on Warner TV and truTV, we‘ve come up with a list of some of Angie's funnies antics which either left us saying “LOL” or “TMI”!

1. Going undercover in her birthday suit

Angie is one of the greatest undercover cops around; there’s no doubt about that. She’s so good that she manages not to blow her cover even when disguised as a nude model. She’s just so good what she does, that she was able to carry a wire with her, without anyone noticing. The only question is, where did she hide it? Well, it seems Angie would prefer if we leave that unanswered…

2. Comic genius

There are two schools of thought when trying to understand Angie Tribeca. First of all, she's smart and sarcastic, but on the other hand she is also a bit dim-witted. And there’s no denying that she's unbelievably hilarious. Every word she utters feels like a punchline. Case in point, when she was told, “I hope you catch the animal that did this,” Angie, in true form retorted, “thank you ma’am but we think a human did it.” Comedy gold right there.

3. She's weird. Like, really weird.

We all have our special rituals before spending some intimate time with our sweethearts, but if we measure it by sheer weirdness, Angie Tribeca would win by a mile. Take her art school fling for instance, Angie had to rub bananas on their faces before getting laid and I don't know about you, but that's just up there in terms of oddity.

4. She takes everything literally.

Angie is a very literal person. She takes anything said to her very seriously. Like there was this one time when one member of her unit in LAPD said “let’s bounce” they quite literally and figuratively, bounced outta there using pogo sticks.

Get ready for a Season 3 of Angie Tribeca on Warner TV (11:30pm) and truTV (10:10pm) with a double-episode premiere on Wednesday, April 12 – same day as the US – and prepare yourself to laugh at Angie's antics together with her crew at the LAPD-RHCU.
