For three years now, AsiaPOP ComiCon has been bringing together fans of films, TV shows, and all things pop culture into one big venue for three whole days of fun and geeking out. Known to be the biggest pop culture convention in the country, APCC continues to bring in comics artists, designers, gamers, celebrities, and more to give fans the geekiest experience of a lifetime.
It was Nicholas Hoult (Skins, Mad Max: Fury Road) and Joe Dempsie (Game of Thrones) in 2016; this year brought to us some of the biggest stars from upcoming films and TV shows. This includes Ray Fisher (Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the upcoming Justice League) and Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf and Supergirl). To add to that, Netflix also brought four members of the cast of Stranger Things (Joe Keery, Noah Schnapp, Dacre Montgomery, and Sadie Sink), as well as replicas of some of the sets from their popular shows.
Needless to say, this year was big time!
Then again, a comicon wouldn't be complete without the cool costumes and looks from not only the famous cosplayers, but also from the regular fans who participate in the event. From Moana's Maui to the Night King of Game of Thrones, here are just some of the coolest looks we saw in this year's APCC:
APCC also played host for Filipino artists to showcase and even sell their art to people. From comics to zines, button pins to stickers, anyone would surely find what they're looking for from the booths that are open during the 3-day event.
Here are some of our cool finds:
