Netflix to Release Anime Film ‘Bubble’ from ‘Attack On Titan’ Director & ‘Death Note’ Co-Creator

The film is set in a world where bubbles have altered our gravity!

A new anime film is in the works on Netflix! Titled Bubble, this upcoming movie takes viewers to a world with gravity-defying bubbles. It comes from director Tetsuro Araki and WIT Studio, who both worked on the hit series Attack on Titan.

Check out the official poster for Bubble below:

Bubble is set in a world where mysterious bubbles appeared and broke the laws of gravity. Cut off from the rest of the world, Tokyo became the playground for young people who use the bubbles for their parkour team battles. When Hibiki, a young ace makes a reckless move into the gravity-bending sea, he is saved by a girl with mysterious powers. The encounter between the two will then unfold a revelation that could change the world.

“I’ve been working on this project quietly for many years, but I’m happy to finally unveil it,” shares director Araki. “I did what I’m best at to the best of my ability alongside many familiar faces. A lot of exciting pictures have surfaced. I hope you enjoy what we’ve created! While it will definitely feature exhilarating action and beautiful background art, I hope that I can also take everyone to even more unexpected places this time. I can’t wait to share it with everyone!”

Aside from Araki, the creators behind Bubble also include Gen Urobuchi who wrote the screenplay, Hiroyuki Sawano who arranged the music, and Death Note‘s Takeshi Obata who designed the characters. The voice cast includes Jun Shison, Mamoru Miyano, Yuki Kaji, Tasuku Hatanaka, and more.

Bubble is slated for release on April 28, 2022. For the latest updates, follow Netflix on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.
