It’s been almost a year since Demon Slayer Movie: The Mugen Train had its special screenings in the Philippines! And if you’re like us who were unable to catch it then and have been looking for a way to watch it, here’s good news for you: the Kimetsu no Yaiba film is coming to Netflix this September 11!
The streaming site announced this last Sunday, posting official stills from the film which feature the anime’s main squad: Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke. Check it out below:
Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train is set after the events of the first season of Demon Slayer. It’s about Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke who take on a mission to board the Mugen train, where they join the Flame Hashira Rengoku, who’s known to be one of the most powerful swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps. There, they investigate the mysterious disappearances of over 40 people in a very short period of time. What they don’t know is that the Lower Moon demon Enmu has prepared a trap for them on the train.
The movie is based on the hit manga series of the same name and premiered in Japan in October 2020. It was a commercial success in Japan, despite the COVID-19 restrictions, with it being the fastest movie in the Japanese box office to cross Ā„10 billion. This surpassed Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away, which held the record for 19 years.
Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train starts streaming on Netflix this September 11.
