Netflix has announced today that the upcoming original K-drama Squid Game will be premiering on the streaming site this September 17! With this announcement comes the drama’s teaser poster, as well as a pre-teaser trailer that gives us a look at what to expect in the new title.

Check out the pre-teaser trailer below:

Squid Game is an “imaginative, unorthodox story” about 456 contestants who compete and risk their lives in a series of survival games. Only one of these contestants can win and survive to claim the prize, while those who fail in the games must pay the price of death.

The series’ title is said to be a reference to a physical and aggressive Korean game, which children used to play in neighborhood alleyways.
