After getting us excited by treating us with a clip from the movie last week, Netflix finally reveals the trailer to Vivo, the newest animated musical film, coming to the site this August 6I The film features a star-studded voice cast, which includes Lin-Manuel Miranda, Zoe Saldaña, Gloria Estefan, and more.

The film follows Vivo — a musically-gifted kinkajou or rainforest “honey bear” who plays music to crowds in a square with his owner, Andrés. When a tragedy strikes after Andrés receives a letter from singer Marta Sandoval, Vivo embarks on a quest alongside a tween named Gabi to deliver a love letter to Marta, which comes in the form of a song.
The film comes from Oscar-nominated director Kirk DeMicco (The Croods) and is co-directed by Brandon Jeffords (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2). It also features a script by Quiara Alegria Hudes (In the Heights), and new songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda and composer Alex Lacamoire.
Lin-Manuel Miranda will also be lending his voice to Vivo, and he will be joined by Zoe Saldaña, Michael Rooker, Brian Tyree Henry, Nicole Byer, Ynairaly Simo, and Gloria Estefan.
