Netflix has just unveiled the teaser trailer for their upcoming anime film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. A spin-off to The Witcher series, Nightmare of the Wolf will explore the adventures of Vesemir, a veteran Witcher in the Continent who is best known for being a mentor figure to Geralt.
But the series is set long before the time of Geralt, and we’ll see Vesemir in his younger years as he kills monsters for some coin. Watch the film’s teaser trailer below:
As the trailer reveals, Vesemir used to be a cocky young witcher who’s had his own share of monster-slaying action. According to the film’s official synopsis, Vesemir will also have to face the demons of his past when a strange new monster surfaces to terrorize a politically-fraught kingdom.
The film is directed by Kwang-Il Han and written by Beau DeMayo. It stars the voices of Theo James, Lara Pulver, Graham McTavish, and Mary McDonnell. For more information, check out The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf on Netflix.
