Boys’ Love or BL has officially become mainstream here in the country, and it’s just a matter of time before we see more Girls’ Love films and shows to represent another part of the LGBTQ+ spectrum. The online streaming platform WeTV for example, is soon releasing a new series titled BetCin that will star Kylie Padilla and Andrea Torres as a couple.
In some new photos shared by the two lead stars, we get to see their characters Beth and Cindy being sweet and intimate in the dark. Check them out below:
“Ubos na ba? Wala bang natira sa tayong dalawa? Matagal tagal din tayong sumaya,” Torres captioned the photo.
Meanwhile, Padilla wrote what seems to be the lyrics of a song: “Isisigaw ang ngalan mo’t, magpapakalunod sa pulang kabayo. Tamaan ka naman, oh pusong hindi makapagpaalam.”
BetCin by Rein Entertainment will follow the couple Beth and Cindy whose relationship is falling apart, but must fake being the ideal couple to win the 10 million cash prize of a reality competition show. Check out the series’ official synopsis below:
Online couple Beth and Cindy, aka BetCin, is on the verge of breaking up. As they cook up their plan on how to best to say goodbye to their followers — the UMAMI’S — they receive an oddly- timed message:
You have been selected as one of the semi-finalists for our search for #RelationshipGoals of #RelationshipGoals.
What is at stake? 10 million pesos cash and a lot of other prizes!
They both need the money, but can they pretend that they are the ideal couple in front of every Umami liking, sharing, and commenting on their every social media content? Can they still tolerate each other’s crazy?
What chaos will this contest bring to their already chaotic relationship?
Directed by Shugo Praico, the show will also star Chai Fonacier and Elora Españo alongside Torres and Padilla. Its release date is yet to be revealed. Director Praico is also behind Bagman, a series starring Arjo Atayde which is currently reaping more attention and acclaim after its release on Netflix.
