Life has a funny way of surprising you with true-to-life events playing out funnier than that of fiction. Maybe that’s why mockumentaries like the Emmy award winning show The Officeand Parks and Recreationtend to tickle the funny bone as they hit closer to home. Filmed as if it was a documentary, making fun of life’s little surprises is definitely feel-good television viewing. Premiering on March 6, Saturday at 9PM is a full hour of crazy real life antics as The Office Season 6 and Parks and Recreation air back-to-back on Jack TV’s Comedyville—the place for acclaimed and well-written comedies.
Working in a paper company may not sound that fun but with a boss like Michael Scott, played by the side-splitting Steve Carell, work is last on the agenda. Now on its sixth season The Office keeps the laughter coming thanks to its hilarious ensemble cast. This season watch as office sweethearts Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) deal with life as a newly married couple while Dwight (Rainn Wilson) and Ryan (B.J. Novak) antagonize one another to be second in command. With a possible buy-out of the company later in the season can Michael stand up and lead his employees to a new beginning or will he set up a murder mystery role-playing game to divert their attention? Knowing Michael you can bet it’s the latter.
The second season of Parks and Recreation sees perky Leslie Knope, as played by Amy Poehler continue to turn a large pit into a park. Not sharing in her enthusiasm is her unmotivated colleagues who she badgers constantly to follow her lead. Thankfully her best friend Ann (Rashida Jones) is there to be the voice of reason. From a penguin marriage, a stake-out to a beauty pageant you would never have guessed just how hard the job of a deputy director of the city’s park and recreations is. Watch out for special guest appearances from Megan Mullally and Will Arnett during the season. Premiering March 6, Saturday at 9:30PM after The Office Parks and Recreation is exclusively seen on Jack TV.
