Two years since the first season premiered, Netflix has finally dropped the trailer to the much-awaited season 2 of Mindhunter, which is set to launch globally this August 16!

Holden Ford and Bill Tench will be returning for the second season, which is set 2 years after the events of season one to cover the Atlanta murders, a series of 28 killings of African-Americans from 1979 to 1981. Charles Manson, the cult leader of the Manson Family, will also make an appearance this season. He will be portrayed by Damon Herriman, who also plays the same role in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood.
Mindhunter follows 2 FBI agents who probe into the psyches of those who have done the unthinkable. Joined by the psychologist Wendy Carr, they try to analyze what goes on into the minds and behaviors of the decade's most notorious serial killers.
The show, directed by David Fincher, Andrew Dominik, and Carl Franklin. It stars Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Anna Torv, Joe Tuttle, Albert Jones, and more.
Mindhunter Season 2 launches globally on Netflix this August 16.
