Following the recently concluded San Diego Comicon, pop culture lovers are treated with trailers and announcements from some of their favorite franchises. One of the most exciting drops from the Comicon is the official trailer to HBO's upcoming original series, WATCHMEN, which will be premiering exclusively on HBO GO and HBO this October.

WATCHMEN is based on the graphic novel of the same name, and is set in an alternate world where "superheroes" are treated as outlaws. While the show will be embracing the nostalgia of the original material, fans of the graphic novel can also expect for it to still be fresh and new to their eyes.
The upcoming series is executive produced by Damon Lindelof (Lost, The Leftovers) and stars Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens, and Andrew Howard.
WATCHMEN, produced for HBO by White Rabbit, in association with Warner Bros. Television, premieres this October.
