The mind-bending film is set in LA's contemporary art world, and follows the story of a snobby art critic and a gallery owner when they chance upon a money-making opportunity with a stash of compellingly eerie paintings left in the recently deceased artist's apartment. The recently released trailer of Velvet Buzzsaw reveals that they've stumbled upon killer art — literally — as the paintings turn out to be seemingly cursed, haunting whoever encounters them.

Watch the trailer below:

'Velvet Buzzsaw' also stars Toni Collette, Zawe Ashton, Tom Sturridge, Natalia Dyer, Daveed Diggs, Billy Magnussen and John Malkovich.

Velvet Buzzsaw premieres globally on Netflix this February 1.
