8 Shows and Films To Watch Out for On Netflix this October

It's finally October! And with it comes another set of new shows and films, as well as series comebacks, to watch out for! If you're the kind who needs to plot their binge-watching schedules for the month, worry not, because we're giving you a rundown of the most awaited shows and films launching on Netflix for this month! 

1. Private Life
Launches on: October 1

From the Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Tamara Jenkins comes Private Life, a story of a couple who struggles to maintain their marriage as they go further into the world of assisted reproduction and domestic adoption. The film stars Academy Award nominee Paul Giamatti and Kathryn Hann. 

2. YG Future Strategy Office
Launches on October 5

Starring BIGBANG's Seungri, YG Future Strategy Office is a sitcom bringing together some of YG Entertainment's troublemakers as they try to regain their places in the company. Seungri will be joined by SNL Korea's Yoo Byung Jae and Sechskies' Lee Jae Jin, with guest appearances by other YG talents like iKON, BLACKPINK, and WINNER. 

3. Riverdale (Season 3)

Not much has been revealed about the third season of Riverdale, but the creators did tease the fans with a photo of a mysterious horned man with a caption, "'G' is for Gargoyle King, gruesome, gory, grim, and gnarly". It is also still not revealed whether this season will also crossover with the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, so fans of the two shows need only to tune in. It stars KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, and Camila Mendes. 

4. The Haunting of Hill House (Season 1)
Launches on: October 12

The Haunting of Hill House is a modern reimagination of a novel of the same name by Shirley Jackson, centering on five siblings who grew up in a haunted house in America. Now that they're adults, they must now reunite and face the ghosts of their pasts, in the shadows and in the walls of the iconic Hill House. It stars Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Reaser, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel, and Victoria Pedretti. 

5. Marvel's Daredevil (Season 3)
Launches on: October 19

Marvel's Daredevil will continue to follow Matt Murdock who fights injustice as a lawyer by day and as a superhero called Daredevil by night. For its third season, he must now let the devil out and embrace the darkness, even if it takes something he might eventually regret. It stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, and Toby Leonard Moore. 

6. Castlevania (Season 2)
Launches on: October 26

Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy that's based on a classic video game series. It centers on the last surviving member of the Belmont clan who tries to save the humans from extinction at the hand of Dracula. The series features the voices of Richard Armitage, James Callis, Graham McTavish, and more. 

7. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Season 1)
Launches on: October 26

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina reimagines the adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, who is trying to come to terms with her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal. This new series is also set to explore the occult and the witchcraft as Sabrina tries to protect herself and the people around her from the evil forces. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is from the showrunners of Riverdale, and stars Kiernan Shipka, Jaz Sinclair, Michelle Gomez, Ross Lynch, and more. 

8. Adam Sandler: 100% Fresh
Launches on: October 23

This new stand-up comedy special features actor and comedian Adam Sandler who brings his comical musings to comedy clubs, concert halls, and even to subway stations.
