2018 Netflix Binge Guide: All the Original Series to Binge-Watch This Year (So Far)

Here's all the Netflix Original Series coming into your devices this year (so far!) that you can stream now and binge-watch soon!

Ahhh, Netflix — the perfect excuse to say 'no' to weekend night out plans to just sink into that comfy couch and binge-watch on all your favorite series… Until you realize it's already the next day. This year has a lot in store for all the series addicts, as the world's leading internet entertainment service is rolling out more of their Original Series (and renewing many of their well-loved series!) this 2018.

Here's all the Netflix Original Series coming into your devices this year (so far!) that you can stream now and binge-watch soon!

NOW STREAMING: 

1. The End of the F***ing World

"If you mix Moonrise Kingdom with Natural Born Killers, you get The End of the F***ing World." Based on a comic series of the same name by Charles Forsman, The End of the F***ing World follows James and Alyssa who go on a roadtrip in England. Alyssa wanted to get away from her troubled home, while James agrees as he's also plotting for a way to kill her. The show stars Alex Lawther and Jessica Barden.

2. Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee

Also streaming on Netflix seasons 1-9 of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee – a roving talk show involving famous comedians and personalities, cups of coffees, and vintage cars. Some of its guests include Larry David, Ricky Gervais, Kristen Wiig, President Barrack Obama, Alec Baldwin, David Letterman, Seth Meyers, Christ Rock, Tina Fey, and Amy Schumer. 

3. GODZILLA

GODZILLA is an anime re-imagination of the Godzilla world in the future. It follows a group of refugees who wants to recolonize the Earth 20,000 years after Godzilla took over. It features a star-studded voice cast which includes Yuki Kaji, Takahiro Sakurai, Tomokazu Sugita, and more. 

4. Devilman Crybaby

Devilman Crybaby is another anime series on Netflix and it's based on Go Nagai's manga Devilman. It follows Akira who transforms into Devilman – someone with the soul of a human but the powers of a demon – after a race of demons come back with the threat taking back the world from humans. 

5. My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman

David Letterman returns to television with My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman! The 6-episode, 60-minute Netflix series premiered on January 12, with the next episodes streaming monthly from February to June. George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Jay-Z, and President Barack Obama are just four of the guests slated to visit for the show. 

6. Somebody Feed Phil

Phil Rosenthal takes his viewers all around the globe where he explores and tries the local cuisine of Bangkok, Lisbon, Mexico City, and more. This new documentary series is also from the creator of Everybody Loves Raymond and will be featuring Rosenthal's friends, family, and sense of humor. 

 

STREAMING SOON: 

1. Altered Carbon
Release Date: 
February 2

Set 300 years in the future, Altered Carbon shows a society that has been transformed by new technology. This tale of murder, love, sex, and betrayal is based on the classic cyberpunk noir novel by Richard K. Morgan. It stars Joel Kinnaman, Renee Elise Goldsberry, and James Purefoy.  

2. Queer Eye
Release Date: 
February 7

Queer Eye is an American reality TV series which first premiered in 2003. This year, Netflix is giving the show a revival, introducing a new Fab Five who will be giving a heterosexual man a "makeover" – from his wardrobe to his home and lifestyle. The show will be starring Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, and Jonathan Van Ness. 

3. Seven Seconds
Release Date: 
February 23

Seven Seconds is an 10-part anthological crime drama which would be exploring the human stories behind the headlines. It examines the impact of a tragic accident to a community, as well as the family's need for answers and justice. It's created by Veena Sud and will be starring Regina King and Clare-Hope Ashitey. 

4. B: The Beginning
Release Date: March 2

Another anime in Netflix' roster this year is B: The Beginning which they co-produced with Production I.G. Set in a world powered by advanced technology, the story centers on the crime and action which unfolds in Cremona, where Koku and a group of characters race through a city that's threatened by Killer B. 

5. Marvel's Jessica Jones (Season 2)
Release Date: March 8

Jessica Jones is returning for Marvel's Jessica Jones! And this time, she will be taking on a new case after her encounter with Kilgrave. Krysten Ritter returns as the titular character, along with Carrie-Anne Moss, and Eka Darville. 

6. Love (Season 3)
Release Date: 
March 9

Mickey and Gus are returning for a third and final season in Love, a comedy series about the thrills and agonies of modern relationships. It will continue to explore stories on intimacy, commitment, and how the two characters' relationship overcome their trials. It stars Gillian Jacobs and Paul Rust. 

 

7. A Series of Unfortunate Events (Season 2)
Release Date: March 30

Neil Patrick Harris' Count Olaf will be returning for A Series of Unfortunate Events' season 2.The show follows the Baudelaire orphans and their encounters with Count Olaf – an actor who would do anything to get claim his inheritance. The series stars Neil Patrick Harris, Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, Prelsey Smith, Patrick Warburton, and K. Todd Freeman.
