With Metro Manila and its nearby provinces reverting back to the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ), Grab announced the suspension of its GrabCar services in the affected areas.
Grab made the announcement on its Facebook post, stating that the suspension will stay in place until the MECQ is lifted.

MalacaƱang announced on Sunday night that Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, and Bulacan will all be back under MECQ from August 4 to 18. This is in response to the medical community’s request for another tight lockdown, to give the health workers some breathing space.
