From film to reality — Avatar is now a full blown park that you can experience for yourself!
Disney World’s newest park, Pandora – The World of Avatar, has finally opened its doors to the public last May 27. Located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, this park will surely be a delight to those who have always been fans of James Cameron’s famed film series.
According to Disney’s website, Pandora – The World of Avatar aims to provide tourists with “the transformational experience of a lifetime,” with its rides and other attractions. As it partners with the Alpha Centauri Expeditions (ACE), everyone gets to have a chance to see the value and the culture of the world that is so similar, yet still so distinct, with Earth.
With the Avatar Flight of Passage, tourists get to take a ride on the back of a mountain banshee as they go on a 3D ride above the moon. Meanwhile, during the Na’vi River Journey, they get to journey along a bioluminescent rainforest aboard a boat while search for the Na’vi Shaman of Songs. People also get to hike and see the high mountains, floras and faunas, cultural items, and other wonders at the Valley of Mo’Ara.
