While eating out is already a great way to update each other about your lives, it is also a great idea to plan out some fun activities that you should have done together in the past two years if only the pandemic didn’t happen!
On this list, we’ll help you make those plans. Here are some fun activities you can now do with your family and friends in Metro Manila! Note that for this list, we’ll be skipping some of the most obvious bonding activities such as visiting a resort or waterpark or going to the movies so you can consider more alternatives for the next time you go out as a group!
Laser Tag
Playing laser tag is a surefire way to have fun as a group. Running around in the dark, blasting each other with different colored lights, and getting the top score to win– we cannot blame HIMYM‘s Barney that he loves the sport so much!
Some places in Metro Manila where you can now play laser tag are Lazer Arena at SM Mall of Asia and Lazer Maxx at Greenhills.
Bowling
If you prefer a sport that requires less running around, then you should consider playing bowling. Gather everyone for a game and see which among you can make the most strikes! Aside from the physical benefits bowling has in store for you, you can also not deny the adrenaline rush it brings whenever you make a hit!
You can play bowling now at Playdium Bowling and Billiards at Araneta Ave., Quezon City; SM Bowling Centers at the SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM City Fairview, and SM Southmall; and Studio 300 at the Pioneer Center in Pasig.
Archery
Another chill sport to try is archery. Whether you’re a fan of pop culture’s famous bow-and-arrow shooters such as Katniss Everdeen, Hawkeye, and most recently, Jang Ha-ri of All of Us Are Dead; or you just like that feeling of hitting the bull’s eye, then you should really consider this sport for your next bonding time.
Some of the archery sites you can visit in Metro Manila right now are Arrowland by Gandiva at SM Megamall and DMZ Archery Range in Project 6, Quezon City.
Wall Climbing
An activity that doubles as a full-body workout is wall climbing, which you can also do alongside the people close to you! Within Metro Manila, you can find both indoor and outdoor climbing gyms that you could visit and try to find out just how high you can go.
Some of the climbing gyms in the metro you can find in the metro are the Climb Central at The Portal, Mandaluyong City; The Bouldering Hive at the Ayala Malls Circuit; The Upper Deck in Ortigas, Pasig; and Power Up Climbing Gym at Festival Supermall, Alabang.
Trampoline Park
If you’re seeking an activity where you can just let loose and have fun jumping around, then you need a trip to the trampoline park. Go giggly and feel like kids again when you make the highest jumps and craziest flips, and ultimately have an exhilarating time!
You can visit the WiiJUMP trampoline park at the Festival Supermall in Alabang.
Amusement Park
A no-brainer for everyone looking for a fun time, amusement parks are sure to take your bonding time to new heights– literally. Now that Star City in Pasay has reopened, the whole family, and your entire gang can once again try its most beloved rides including the Star Flyer, Surf Dance, and Star Frisbee; experience the winter wonderland of Snow World; and so much more!
Museums
Of course, if you want more simulation to your brains after staying at home for too long, visiting some museums in the city is a good idea. Learn more about our history, art, and other captivating preserved pieces at the National Museum of the Philippines, Ayala Museum, Yuchengco Museum, and the like; get entertained while learning at The Mind Museum; or just have some eye-popping fun time at Art in Island and The Dessert Museum.
Karaoke Bars
If your crew loves music and singing, then enjoying some time in a family KTV is an ideal bonding activity. As you’re spending time in an enclosed space that’s filled with life thanks to the music, you can easily get lost in that ecstatic bonding time being surrounded by the people you care about!
