5 Reasons Why You’ll Love Staying at Bohol’s Amorita Resort

Bohol is home to many things - the iconic Chocolate Hills, the Loboc River, historical churches that have stood the test of time, and of course the cute, little, wide-eyed tarsiers.

Bohol is home to many things – the iconic Chocolate Hills, the Loboc River, historical churches that have stood the test of time, and of course the cute, little, wide-eyed tarsiers. This makes the place a must-visit for everyone, no matter what kind of tourist or traveler they are, whether they're one who wants to see more nature or one who is more into history or culture.

For those who love the beach, however, there's no better place to be in Bohol than its very own Panglao Island, where the famed Alona Beach is located. The place is known for its white sand and diving spots, as well as its nightlife scene which can also be appealing to those who love to drink and have fun on their vacation. The area also has a lot of hotels and resorts close to the beach, so there's definitely something for everyone and for all kinds of budget.

One of the most famous hotels on the island is Amorita Resort, whose name literally translates to "little darling". The resort is known for being on the luxurious side of the scale, as it offers nothing but the best rooms and facilities to make sure that its guests can get nothing but the vacation that they deserved.

Planning to take a trip to Bohol on your next vacation? We give you 5 things we loved about Amorita Resort which will make your vacation a memorable one!

Perfect Location

Amorita Resort is conveniently close to all of Panglao Island's most important places. It's a 10-minute drive from the new Bohol-Panglao International Airport, which has just become fully operational in November of last year.

Located on top of a limestone cliff, the resort also offers a phenomenal and overlooking view of Alona Beach. It's the perfect place to stay for those who want to stay close to the beach, but far enough from the noise and the nightlife scene to enjoy some peace and quiet during their vacation.

Luxurious Rooms

The resort boasts of a total of 98 luxurious rooms widely spread across a landscape of lush greenery. Guests can choose from 7 different room types, all of which feature an interior with a more modern aesthetic, a flat-screen cable TV, an in-room safe, and of course, complimentary Wi-Fi.

The rooms also have a curated set of refreshments and snacks, as well as a coffee & tea making facility.

For those looking for a more luxurious option, there's the Sea View Pool Villa, located at the resort's garden area. The villa features a king bed, and is complete with a complimentary minibar, Nespresso machine, flat-screen TV, Loudbasstard sound amplifier, and more.

The room also has its own plunge pool and patio, which gives guests an unrewarded view of the sea.

Delicious Dining Options

While Panglao Island has different restaurants serving a variety of cuisines sprawled all over the island for the more adventurous ones, Amorita Resort also has dining options inside, so guests wouldn't have to go too far for a good meal.

Saffron Restaurant hosts the resort's breakfast buffet, offering a wide range of dishes for both the Filipino and the foreigners' palate. While there, make sure to not miss their champorado and congee, which is something that would go well with the saltiness of their daing na dilis or danggit. Bacon-lovers also have something to look forward to as Saffron offers unlimited bacon (yes, unlimited!), which you can enjoy to your heart's content!

Come lunchtime, Saffron starts serving a menu mostly consisting of comfort food from different countries. Some of the dishes you must try are definitely their Bacon and 3-Cheese Macaroni, Tuna Poke, Chorizo Fundido, Nasi Goreng, Tablea Chocolate Cake, and the Mango Pops – a crowd-favorite which can be best enjoyed while lounging by the pool.

Aside from these, Amorita Resort also regularly holds Friday Roast Buffet, Saturday Grill Buffet, and Unlimited Tapas deas – a good deal for those who want to have the feast that they deserve!

The resort also holds cocktail hours from 5PM to 6PM every Wednesdays and Fridays, where guests can enjoy their fill of Amorita's signature drinks for free, and while taking in the view of the sunset by the beach.

Activities and Relaxation

Whether you're looking for a relaxing activity or for a more adventurous one, Amorita Resort has you covered. The resort features 2 infinity pools with different levels, so both the kids and the grown-ups can enjoy.

The two pools also have its own lounge area, and an overlooking view of the sea, something that the guests who just want to bask under the sun will definitely enjoy.

When it comes to water activities, guests can also rent Amorita's kayaks and paddleboards for free. For the ones who want to try their hand on diving and exploring the Bohol Sea, the resort has an in-house dive shop which you can coordinate with for schedules and gears.

Needed that well-deserved pampering? The resort has Sea Tree Spa which offers a variety of services, from authentic Filipino massage therapies to romantic bathing rituals and beauty treatments to soothe the guest's mind, body, and soul.

If you have some time for a quick side trip down the countryside, you can coordinate with the people at Amorita, which would then arrange a tour for you and your group. Their countryside tour can take you to some of Bohol's most famous spots like Hinagdanan Cave, Baclayon Church, and the Chocolate Hills.

Insider tip: Aside from Alona Beach, Amorita Resort also houses a secret cove which is a good place to go to for those who wants a more secluded cove for themselves. Just find the staircase close to Saffron Restaurant, and you'll find what the staff would like to call their "hidden beach".

Environmentally Sustainable

An ASEAN Green Hotel awardee, Amorita Resort is known to be one of the more eco-friendly places to stay at on the island.

Their rooms, for one, opt to use refillable shampoo and body wash bottles instead of the tiny plastic ones to reduce waste. They also let their guests borrow the Buri Bags available in every room as a way to lessen the use of non-reusable bags when going around the resort and around the island. Guests can also buy these bags at their in-house shop if they plan to take one home as a bag for their pasalubong, or as the pasalubong itself.

Amorita Resor is at #1 Ester A. Lim Drive, Barangay Tawala, Alona Beach, Panglao Island, Bohol. For more information, you may check out the resort's official website, Facebook, and Instagram pages.
