PSY’s “Gangnam Style”
PSY’s legendary music video made history yesterday as it hit over 4 billion views on YouTube. This is almost 9 years since the hit song premiered in July of 2012. The MV is now the first Korean-language MV to gain 4 billion views. Meanwhile, Pinkfong’s Baby Shark Dance is currently holding the title of being the most-viewed YouTube video of all time with more than 8 billion views.
The Devil is a Part-Timer, Season 2
After waiting 8 years for a season 2 announcement, we finally have the official trailer to highly-anticipated follow-up to the anime series. It centers on the devil who finds himself in modern-day Tokyo after getting his plan of conquering the world is foiled by a hero. The devil then has to try to make ends meet to survive in the world even if he has no “real-world” skills.
Raya and the Last Dragon
Raya and the Last Dragon — Disney’s latest offering — has finally premiered on Disney+ last March 5. It’s the first Disney film to feature a Southeast Asian princess, Raya, who is a lone warrior who sets out to search for the last dragon to save her kingdom. The movie features the voices of Kelly Marie Tran, Awkwafina, Gemma Chan, and more.
Disney Philippines has also released KZ Tandingan’s “Gabay.” This is the first song in a Disney soundtrack to ever feature the Filipino language. You can listen to the song here.

Coming 2 America
Coming 2 America, the sequel to the 1988 comedy Coming to America, finally arrived on Amazon Prime last March 4. It follows King Akeem, the newly-crowned king of Zamunda, and his confidante Semmi as they go on an adventure that takes them from the great African nation to a town in Queens, New York. It stars Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Flower, and more.
Dito at Doon
Janine Gutierrez is starring alongside JC Santos in the upcoming TBA Studios film Dito at Doon. This film comes from director JP Habac, and is set during the pandemic era. Here, Janine Gutierrez plays Len, a woman who meets JC Santos’ Cabs in an e-numan during the lockdown. The two then communicate with each other through video chats and phone calls.
The film will premiere at the Osaka Asian Film Festival on March 9 and 13. It will also be showing in Philippine cinemas this March 17 and will be streaming online via KTX.ph.
