Filipinos love to dance and we’re also pretty good at it. We tend to dominate international dance competitions across genres, and our country is home to some of the most talented dancers and choreographers in the world.
When the pandemic struck, the dance community was one of the hardest hit. The industry reeled from cancelled shows and competitions. Lockdowns prevented dancers from attending classes and training sessions where they would normally spend hours every week trying new skills, perfecting their technique and learning new choreographies.
Korio Studios is a new online platform that is supporting the local dance community by helping teachers create class content and making these classes accessible for dance students and enthusiasts. For only PhP599/month, students can take unlimited classes from multiple genres — from street dance and open style to jazz and contemporary dance. Also, Korio classes are pre-recorded, allowing students to take classes in their own time, and to pause, rewind and review the content as needed.
Korio makes it easier for students to try out new dance genres and be exposed to different styles of teachers from all over the country.
