Following the announcement video featuring the Hargreeves siblings dancing to “I Think We’re Alone Now” while in quarantine, Netflix treats fans with the first-look images of the second season of The Umbrella Academy! The show starts streaming on the site next month, July 31!

Season 2 sees the Hargreeves siblings right after Vanya’s 2019 apocalypse. Now, the siblings are all scattered in time in and around Dallas, Texas over a three-year period. While some have already moved on and built a life of their own, Five hasn’t. Instead, he finds himself right in the middle of a nuclear doomsday – a result of the group’s disruption and alteration of the timeline.
The Umbrella Academy must then find a way to reunite, figure out the cause of the doomsday, put a stop to it, and finally return to the current timeline to stop the other apocalypse while trying to escape the Swedish assassins out to get them.
The Umbrella Academy is based on a comic book series created and written by Gerard Way, with illustrations by Gabriel Ba. It revolves around 6 adopted siblings who reunite after their father’s death to solve the mystery that surrounds it.
The 10-episode series stars Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Emmy Raver-Lampman, and Justin H. Min. It’s produced by Steve Blackman, Jeff F. King, Keith Goldberg, Mike Richardson, Gerard Way, and Gabriel Bá.
