Four Exclusive Comics Showcased at SuperManila Comic Con 2025

SuperManila Comic Con is returning bigger than ever, featuring four exclusive international comic releases created for the convention – a first for a local comics event of this scale. The highly anticipated event takes place on September 6 – 7, 2025, at One Ayala, Makati, spanning two floors of the venue and offering comics, collectibles, toys, cosplay, and pop culture programming for fans of all ages.

Among the centerpiece exclusives is Eraserheads: Combo on the Run #1 , a one-shot adaptation of the band’s blockbuster documentary, which was screened and released as a comic at San Diego Comic-Con. The issue features a striking new cover by Stephen Segovia. Archie Comics legend Dan Parent presents Betty & Veronica: Friends Forever #1, placing America’s favorite teens in a Filipino setting as they share a glass of halo-halo. G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #21 features a cover by Miguel Mercado honoring the original “Silent Issue” by Larry Hama, told entirely without dialogue, and introducing the iconic Cobra ninja Storm Shadow. Finally, Absolute Flash #1 features the first Philippine-exclusive DC Comics cover, with the Flash racing through Ayala Avenue. The cover is brought to life by Carlo Pagulayan, Jason Paz, and Romulo Fajardo, making this SuperManila variant a must-have for collectors.

This year’s edition also highlights personalities shaping today’s pop culture conversation. Online sensation Dino Coronel, also known as Dino Roman, brings his gaming, tech, and pop culture expertise to the SuperManila stage. Known as The Ultimate Nerd, he connects with fans through his social media content. He joins a star-studded lineup including Marvel’s C.B. Cebulski, legendary artist Mike Zeck (Secret Wars, Spider-Man), Archie icon Dan Parent (Kevin Keller, Die Kitty Die), and international talents Bengal (Batgirl, Napalm Lullaby), Hendry Prasetya (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, TMNT x Naruto), Ario Anandito (Star Wars: The High Republic), Alan Quah (Deadpool, Batman), and Disney painter Heather Edwards, with superstar Peach Momoko (Ultimate X-Men, Demon Days) returning to showcase her Momoko-Verse.

Fans will be able to celebrate Momoko’s return with an EXCLUSIVE “Manananggal” 11×17 print! Limited to only 250 pieces. The print is being made available thanks to the support of The Japan Foundation.

The spotlight also turns to the Philippines’ own comics greats, from Stephen Segovia (WILDC.A.T.S), Jason Paz (Deathstroke), Carlo Pagulayan (Superman: Lost, Planet Hulk), Romulo Fajardo (Justice League), Don Aguillo (King Spawn), and Leinil Yu (X-Men, Superman: Birthright) to cultural icons like Manix Abrera (Kikomachine Komix) and Pol Medina Jr. (Pugad Baboy). Fans can enjoy signings, live sketches, commissions, and official authentication services, making the convention floor a haven for collectors.

Beyond comics, SuperManila celebrates creativity across cosplay, toys, and design. Internationally renowned graffiti artist and toy designer Quiccs Maiquez will showcase his latest creations, while cosplay stars Prince De Guzman and Awie feature new characters and share their journeys on stage. Collectors will find an unparalleled selection of merchandise from Hot Toys, Lego, Bandai, Good Smile Company, Kotobukiya, Tomica, ZD Toys, and more, with exclusive event-only promos.
As an added treat, LEGO Ninjago is teaming up with some of the Philippines’ top comic creators to create 16 exclusive art prints! Featuring art from Carlo Pagulayan, Manix Abrera, Stephen Segovia, and more, attendees with a minimum single-receipt of ₱1,000 at LEGO, Arigatoys, Comic Odyssey, or Filbar’s booths, will receive 1 FREE art print. With limited stocks available, and a chance to get your prints signed at the event, fans won’t want to miss out on this exciting offer!
