Disney's The Lion King
March 18 to May 20 (The Theatre at Solaire)

Michael Cassel Group in association with Disney Theatrical Productions announces the first international tour of the world’s #1 musical, Disney’s THE LION KING, to premiere in Manila in March 2018 with additional engagements in Singapore, Korea, Taiwan and South Africa.

Lion King, which begins its Manila run on March 18, 2018 at The Theatre at Solaire, is the stage adaptation of the 1994 Disney film of the same name. It follows Simba, a young lion born into the royal family, who flees their land after his father Mufasa is killed by his uncle, Scar. When he grew up, he hears the plea from the inhabitants of his land, thus begins his mission of taking down an enemy and fulfilling his destiny to be a king. 

DuLa Salle 2k17: Rights Minus Wrong
April 4 to 7 (William Shaw Little Theater)

DLSU Harlequin Theatre Guild presents DuLa Salle 2k17: Rights Minus Wrong, an annual series of student-directed one-act plays performed by the Guild’s latest talent.

This year, DuLa Salle explores various human rights in context to various aspects of Philippine society. With a wide range of different genres, concepts, and talents, here’s what you can look forward to in Harlequin’s upcoming project: Bomba; Brol Change My Name, Change My Name; and Hindi Ko Pa Nakikita Ang Larawan ng Dagat.

LANY Live in Manila
April 5 and 6 (Smart Araneta Coliseum)

LANY, short for Los Angeles New York, is an American alternative band consist of Paul Klein, Les Priest, and Jake Goss. Since their formation in 2012, they've released 4 EPs (Acronyms, I Loved You, Make Out, and kinda) and 1 album (LANY). Some of their hit singles include "Made in Hollywood", "Bad, Bad, Bad," "yea, babe, no way," and "ILYSB".

Sa Wakas, A Pinoy Rock Musical
opens April 7 (Power Mac Center Spotlight, Circuit Makati)

Created and produced by Charissa Pammit, it is a Pinoy rock musical featuring the songs of Sugarfree. Performing live at Power Mac Center Spotlight Theater (Circuit Makati) April 7, 2018.

Sa Wakas is a critically acclaimed, homegrown musical based on the songs of one of the country’s most beloved rock bands, Sugarfree. Co-written by Andrei Nikolai Pamintuan and Mariane Abuan, with the music beautifully arranged by Ejay Yatco, Sa Wakas was one of the first to bring together the world of pop rock and theater in one groundbreaking musical.

The show is created and produced by Charissa Pammit and is presented with the Manila Fringe Festival.
