This year's Short + Sweet Theatre Festival 2019 is happening soon here in Manila, and it's time to secure your tickets!

Known for its 10-minute theater plays, the said festival was founded by Mark Cleary in Sydney, Australia back in 2002. Today, Short+Sweet has become a global organization, celebrated annually in numerous countries including the Philippines.

Now on its fifth season, the Short+Sweet Festival has a total of 53 scripts to be brought to life onstage (for 10 minutes!) by Filipino actors and directors. And since there are no definitive themes for the entries, you will be watching an assortment of plays in different genres. Besides the mainstage acts, there are also wildcard rounds showcasing scripts that didn't get high scores during the picking, but are still worthy of the audience's time in many different reasons. It may be because it is too provocative, or isn't provocative enough; it maybe because it is too mature; or maybe it leans on the entertainment side it's almost like TV in style.

"Short+Sweet Theatre in Manila is in its 5th season this year and is brought to you by Rude Mechanicals. We are proud to collaborate with the Performing Arts and Recreation Centre Foundation with the support of the Australian Embassy in the Philippines. It also gives me immense happiness to see a lot of participants come back every year." says Vaishali Ray, this year's festival director.

The festival will take place on the following dates: November 9, 10, 16, and 17, at the PARC Foundation in San Juan, Metro Manila. Mainstage tickets are proced P350, Wildcard tickets are P300, and the Special All Shows Pass is priced P1,500. Book your reservations via their Facebook page, Short+Sweet Theatre Festival Manila. You can buy tickets on the venue as well.

The PARC Foundation is located at 494 Lt. Artiaga, San Juan, Metro Manila.
