Madagascar: A Musical Adventure Set to Launch Atlantis Imaginarium Young Theatre

Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group is proud to present its newest division catering to families, young adults, and children called the ATLANTIS IMAGINARIUM YOUNG THEATRE (AIYT). AIYT aims to contribute to the Philippine theatre ecology by providing exceptional, meaningful and engaging theatrical productions for young people and their families produced in a professional theatre setting.

For its maiden production, AIYT is staging a musical that both the young and the young at heart will surely enjoy: MADAGASCAR: A MUSICAL ADVENTURE.  Based on the hit Dreamworks animated hit film, with book by Kevin Del Aguila and original music and lyrics by George Noriega and Joel Someillan, MADAGASCAR: A MUSICAL ADVENTURE promises to be a fun-filled treat for the whole family!

Embark on a crack-a lackin' ride from the heart of New York's Central Park Zoo into the zany world of King Julien's Madagascar! Tag along with Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo, and some of the most loveable penguins you'll ever meet as they lead you through a smashing musical adventure you will never forget!

Alex and his best friends Marty, Melman, and Gloria have been in fabulous captivity inside the Central Park Zoo. Cherished by an adoring public and treated like celebrities, they spend every waking hour inside the 4 walls of the zoo until Marty decides to explore the world outside aided by a band of sprightly ingenious penguins.

Critics have described the show as “(a) 'crack-a-lackin' feel-good family show that'll make you 'move it, move it' til the cows come home…” (Manchester Evening News), “a colourful cavalcade of fun” (London Theatre), “a really fun and fabulous show and really you should move it, move it and get there” (Chicago Critic).

Theatre for young audiences, such as what you will experience in MADAGASCAR: A MUSICAL ADVENTURE, is a powerful tool to shape the minds of our youth and direct them towards spurring creativity and imagination. UK Theatre critic Lyn Gardner of The Guardian describes it quite well: “Theatre, particularly theatre for children, fires the imagination, it gives our children the skills and the creativity necessary to face the world, to understand it and perhaps to change it too.”

Show buying opportunities are now available for MADAGASCAR: A MUSICAL ADVENTURE which will run from August 2 at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater.
