It’s been over a year since the pandemic, and with the recent return of stricter health protocols in Metro Manila, we can’t help but feel a sense of deja vu. And while some have joked about reviving the Dalgona coffee trend, the true trend for gamers when the lockdown began was Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Of course, not everyone was able to play Nintendo’s popular life simulator back then. After all, it’s a Nintendo Switch exclusive and a triple-A title. But if you’ve always wanted to play a pretty similar game, free of charge and no new console needed, you may now find what you’re looking for through the mobile game Tour of Neverland.
Tour of Neverland is a free 3D farming simulator game on Android and iOS that was developed by Mars Game, a game studio based in Hong Kong. Just like Animal Crossing, in this game, you are to tend your own island where you can plant crops, raise livestock, go fishing and snorkeling, explore mines, catch bugs, and give gifts to your anthropomorphic animal friends. It also allows you to visit other players’ islands, participate in activities together, and message them anytime through the chatbox.
This game also offers vibrant visuals, with its human characters sporting a cute anime look. While the game is completely free, players can also pay for certain perks such as speeding up the waiting time for crops and repairs (which run in real-time), as well as getting more outfits for your character and furniture for your home. And since it’s made to cater to online players, you can also expect the game to further grow with updates every now and then.
So if you’re searching for a fun game to grind now that we’re experiencing the GCQ bubble, be sure to check out Tour of Neverland. You can now download the game on the Google Play Store for Android devices, and on the App Store for iOS devices.
