Meet Garmin’s Latest Smartwatches: Venu™, Vivomove 3, and Vivoactive 4

Here's a closer look at the three upcoming smartwatches from Garmin, to keep you in shape and in style!

You've got new health and wellness companions to watch over you while you play and workout. Introducing, Garmin's Venu™, Vivoactive 4, and Vivomove 3!

Existing since 1989, international brand Garmin has been first known for their cutting-edge GPS technology in the aviation, marine, and automotive industries. Today, they have expanded to the outdoor and fitness markets, bringing their ingenuity and three-decade experience in the engineering industry to the everyday lives of people with active lifestyles.

Last October 18, the brand launched three new smartwatch models that are fit for people who want to keep in shape, and keep their style at the same time. To get you more familiar with the three, here's a closer look at each one of them.
 

Vivomove 3
Maintain your classy style with this hybrid smartwatch.

If you prioritize design and is wanting to wear a handy smartwatch while keeping that traditional timepiece fashion on your wrist, this latest model from Garmin's Vivomove series is your best option. With a flick of your wrist, the watch's hands will dynamically move out of the way, revealing the hidden touchscreen display.

In terms of design, the Vivomove 3 is a 44mm watch with stainless-steel bezel, that is locally available in colors Powder Gray with Silver Hardware and Black with Slate Hardware. There is also a handful of colors to choose from for the silicone bands.

Key features of the Vivomove 3 include smart notifications (emails, text messages, and social media notifications), calendar widget, fitness tracking (daily steps, floors climbed, intensity minutes, etc.), body battery (tracks your energy reserves to optimize time for activities and rest), stress tracking and relax reminders, wrist-based heart rate, hydration tracking, and sleep tracking. Its battery life can last for five days in smartwatch mode and will keep ticking for an additional week in watch mode. The Vivomove 3 is priced P16,595.

 

Vivoactive 4
A well-equipped smartwatch for your active lifestyle necessities.

If you want to skip the hybrid design and maximize the full-screen display that smartwatches can provide, the Vivoactive 4 might be the best Garmin model for you. Adding to its all-rounded health and fitness monitoring features, are over 40 on-device animated workouts to demonstrate the right exercise form and techniques right at the user's wrist.

The Vivoactive 4 is 45mm in size with sunlight-visible display, stainless steel bezel, and silicone straps. It is locally available in colors Shadow Gray with Silver Hardware and Black with Slate Hardware. As for the watch faces, it can be customized with the Connect IQ Store.

Its key features include the body battery energy monitoring, stress tracking, hydration tracking, wrist-based heart rate, respiratory tracking, menstrual cycle tracking, the Pulse Ox Sensor (gauges how well your blood is absorbing oxygen), and the advanced sleep monitoring (displays a breakdown of your light, deep, and REM sleep stages, as well as the respiration data and Pulse Ox results while you sleep).

The Garmin Coach is designed to be your personal running coach to help you train for your next 5k, 10k, or half-marathon. As mentioned above, there are also over 40 animated workouts for strength training, cardio, yoga, and Pilates.

The Vivoactive 4 is also equipped with smart notifications, a safety and tracking feature (your location can be sent to your contacts manually or automatically), and free downloadable apps from Garmin's Connect IQ Store. You can download songs and create playlists on your watch via Spotify, and connect it to your wireless headphones for a phone-free listening. Its battery life lasts for up to eight days in smartwatch mode and up to six hours in GPS + music mode. The Garmin Vivoactive 4 is available for P21,595 each.

 

Venu™​
The first Garmin smartwatch with a vibrant AMOLED display.

The Venu™ GPS smartwatch has all the features of the Vivoactive 4, but with a bright, beautiful display, thanks to its full HD AMOLED screen with 390x390px resolution on a 1.2" diameter display (the Vivoactive 4 has a 260x260px screen resolution on a 1.3" display).

As for the design, there are more colors available for the Venu™ here in the country. These include Black with Slate Hardware, Light Sand with Rose Gold Hardware, and Granite Blue with Silver Hardware.

The Venu's battery life could last up to 5 days in smartwatch mode and up to 6 hours in GPS mode with music. It is priced P23,595 here in the Philippines.

The Venu™ and Vivoactive 4 will both be rolling out by the third week of October, while the Vivomove 3 will be available on the third week of November.

It will be available at the official Garmin stores, select department stores of Rustan's and SM Malls, as well as select stores of Meridian, Watch Republic, Washington, Olympic Village, ROX, TOBY'S, RUNNR, Chris Sports, and URBAN. It will also be available online via the Kinetic website.
