Sometimes when we can’t remember a song title, we just resort to typing the lyrics in the Google search bar. But what if you also forgot the lyrics of a song?
Google now offers a solution to find that tune stuck in your head! You can hum, whistle, or sing the melody and the search engine will lead you to the song (or songs) of the same tune.
If you have Google Assistant, simply say “Hey Google, what’s this song?” and start humming. Once Google’s learning algorithm is done searching, you can then listen to the song on your music app, view music videos, explore more information about the song and its artist!
If you have an iOS device, you can also search for a song through your updated Google app or the Google Search widget. Just tap the mic icon and say “what’s this song?” or click the “Search a song” button, then proceed to hum a tune.
