Malaysian taxi-booking mobile app, GrabTaxi has officially launched GrabCar in Manila.
GrabCar is an on-demand chauffeur service that lets you book a private car within Metro Manila. The new service aims to help customers to successfully book a car especially during peak hours. This premium alternative to regular taxis of course, comes with a higher price tag. Its base fare and per kilometer and per minute rates are not yet available as of writing. Unlike other private car service apps, GrabCar doesn't require a credit card; payment is made in cash.
To start using GrabCar, open the GrabTaxi app, select the GrabCar option 
and pin your pick up and drop off points. It will then show you the fixed rate and distance. After adding other information like additional instructions to the driver, and tip (optional), the app will show you your assigned driver with picture and plate number.
GrabTaxi app is available for FREE on the App Store, Google Play, Windows Phone and Blackberry World App Store.
