Google launches new group sharing app, Spaces

Google just announced a new iOS, Android, web and mobile web app called Spaces in the hopes it will improve group sharing, the company announced Monday. The name Spaces is perfect for the app since the company aims for you and your friends to share a single space to share different kinds of information you find around the web.

Articles, images and videos is the highlight because of the built-in integration to other Google products like Google Search, YouTube and Chrome. Basically, you and your friends will be able to create a chat around a topic — your favorite TV series or that cat video you saw online — and you easily add links and information without having to switch between different screens copying and pasting the links.

Everyone in the group can then start talking about the topic which was shared. And since it's Google, it's easy to search for the previously shared information inside the app without tiring out your thumb from scrolling through your conversation thread. "You can create a space with just one tap for any topic and invite anyone via messaging, email, a social network, or whatever way you like," posted on the blog.

Google Spaces starts rolling out today on iOS, Android and the web.
